Ponies

Ponies

I recently picked up a couple horse figurines at a local market. I was curious to how they'd work with my BJD dolls since, ideally, they need horses — at least one or two.

The first one, a 1/6 scale vintage horse from some fashion doll line, was a complete miss. The proportions are all off — odd and twisted — and the poor horse is so small it can't even pass as a pony.

On top of, the joints are too fragile to support the weight of a polyurethane doll.

The second one has great proportions and works well as a pony for MSD and YOSD-sized dolls He’s sturdy, heavy, and held up perfectly with the doll sitting on his back. Unfortunately, I’m not a fan of the color.

But with a drop of Photoshop magic I can fix it. And that's looks interesting.

I still want regular horses, though, but for this 'faery pony' I could also make some use.
